The new PENSUM AIR: eco-friendly and efficient

Groundbreaking, innovative, powerful – the PENSUM AIR has grown up. With a performance between 50 and 400 kilowatts, the air-cooled chiller will achieve optimal results in public institutions, office buildings and business premises while sending a clear message about environmental protection.

The PENSUM AIR – far ahead of its time

PENSUM chillers have been part of the ENGIE Refrigeration portfolio since 2013. To meet the evolving market requirements, the PENSUM AIR has now been technologically overhauled and prepared for the future. Thanks to the future-proof refrigerant R-454B, it achieves a GWP value of 466 and thus already falls below the value specified in the F-gas Regulation, which calls for an average GWP value of <500 from 2030. Switching from the previous refrigerant R-410A to the new refrigerant R-454B has also made it possible to reduce carbon emissions by 78 per cent. The refrigeration capacity remains the same, but it can be retrieved even more efficiently.

The PENSUM AIR is not just powerful, but also a real benefit to the environment. Thanks to its good consumption values, the PENSUM AIR already meets the requirements of the Tier 2 Ecodesign Directive, which will come into force on 1 January 2021. ENGIE Refrigeration has thus created a future-proof chiller that is far ahead of its time.

One basis, four product lines – the right PENSUM AIR for your needs

ENGIE Refrigeration has changed more about the PENSUM AIR than just its refrigerant: it has also raised the design and configuration of the chiller to a new level. The new compressor is an important innovation. This overhauled component makes the PENSUM AIR even more efficient than its predecessor. Customers can also choose between four different lines that feature specific details:

• Basic Cool
• Free Cool
• Super Silent
• Reversible Heat

If you want free cooling, for example, Free Cool is your best option. In sensitive areas where noise levels should be kept to a minimum, the Super Silent model is a good choice. All variants are ready to use in their standard configuration and require no additional configuration, but can be expanded and adapted individually by means of add-ons.

Sophisticated details for maximum safety

PENSUM AIR chillers are characterised by their design preparations and high level of safety for the refrigerant, which is categorised as class A2L and therefore only slightly flammable. In addition, the PENSUM AIR contains optimised measuring, control and regulation technology, which, among other things, affects the master/slave operation. The housing has been improved by installed protective grilles in front of the fin-type heat exchanger as protection against mechanical influences. The PENSUM AIR can be used without difficulty in offices and business premises, universities, technical colleges or public institutions.
