The project’s preparation began in 2019 with PT. Toyasae Berkah Abadi (TBA) in partnership with the principals, namely PT. Daikin Applied Solution for Chiller, PT. Grundfos Trading Indonesia for Pumps, and PT. Ocean Pratama for Cooling Tower Suppliers. The construction was supposed to begin in early 2020, however it was postponed because to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Since 1974, the Aryaduta Hotel Group has been a premium and prominent hotel in Indonesia. It has expanded throughout major cities as well as exclusive tourist regions. Every service at each hotel and resort prioritizes comfort and luxury. The magnificent Hotel Aryaduta Menteng is located in Jakarta’s business center. Government offices and embassies are within walking distance.

The building has been in use for over 15 years and requires retrofitting, particularly in the Chiller (AC) unit, which has been damaged due to poor maintenance. It’s also no longer electrically efficient, and the technology hasn’t been updated, so finding a chiller unit with the most up-to-date and efficient technology would require vendor assistance.

TBA integrated a new 600 TR Daikin Water Cooled Magnetic Bearing Centrifugal chiller HXEV700TSTTF to the existing system. To provide the most efficient pumping, Grundfos Chilled Water Pump TP 200-320/4 and Grundfos Condenser Water Pump TP 200-270/4 are fitted. A CNT-B 800 S (400 – C2) 800 HRT Ocean Cooling Tower is also used to remove heat from a structure. This solution maintains a constant temperature throughout the year.

With the solution adopted, the end user has obtained benefits such as products quality with optimized efficiency, energy savings up to 34% and lower maintenance cost.
